It is the main indicator of inflation in the country and reflects the change in retail prices for a certain basket of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, and healthcare. The index has a significant impact on the monetary policy decisions of the Swiss National Bank. It is expected that the indicator will increase from 2.2% to 2.4% YoY, and it will slightly decrease from 0.7% to 0.5% MoM.
