The indicator reflects the state of business activity in the national manufacturing industry and is calculated based on a survey of purchasing and supply managers of leading national enterprises in all industries. At the same time, their attitude to the current economic situation and the prospects for its further development is assessed. The decrease in the index from the current value of 66.3 points may pressure the Canadian currency.
