Retail Sales. UK, 08:00 (GMT+2)

At 08:00 (GMT+2), September retail sales data will be released in the UK. The indicator monthly consolidates the volume of all goods sold by retailers. It is calculated based on a sample of UK retail stores of different types and sizes. It is an important indicator of consumer spending and significantly impacts the gross domestic product. Sales volume is expected to slow the downtrend from –1.6% to –0.5% MoM and from –5.4% to –5.0% YoY, while the Core index will be adjusted from –1.6% to –0.3% MoM and from –5.0% to –4.1% YoY. Implementation of the forecast may put pressure on the pound.
