It is the main indicator of inflation in the country and reflects the change in retail prices for a certain "basket" of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, and healthcare. The index significantly impacts the monetary policy decisions of the Swiss National Bank. The indicator is expected to decrease from 3.3% to 3.2% YoY and increase from –0.2% to 0.2% MoM.
