At 01:50 (GMT+2), Tankan Q4 data on the sentiment index of major Japanese manufacturers will be released. The indicator is published quarterly by the Department of Research and Statistics of Japan and is calculated based on a survey of managers of large Japanese manufacturing companies. The survey assesses economic parameters such as business conditions, supply and demand, production and sales, price levels, income, employment, investment, and tax conditions. The index is expected to fall from 8.0 points to 6.0 points. Implementation of the forecast may put pressure on the yen.
