At 15:30 (GMT+2), Canada will release January data on retail sales. The indicator captures the volume of all goods sold by retailers, based on a sample of retail stores of various types and sizes. It is an important indicator of consumer spending and has a significant impact on the gross domestic product (GDP). It is expected that in January, the indicator will correct from 0.5% to 0.7%, and the core value – from –0.6% to 0.6%. Implementation of the forecast may support the quotes of the Canadian currency.
