The indicator monthly captures the aggregate of all goods sold by retailers, based on a sample of outlets of various types and sizes. It is an important consumer spending indicator that has a significant impact on the region’s gross domestic product. It is expected that the indicator will correct from –0.8% to –0.1% MoM and from –3.0% to –3.1% YoY, which may support the euro.
