At 08:00 (GMT+2), May data on the consumer price index will be released in the UK. It is the main indicator of inflation in the country and determines the change in retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services (food, transport, utilities, healthcare, etc.), and also has a significant impact on monetary policy decisions. It is expected to decline from 8.7% to 8.5% YoY and from 1.2% to 0.8% MoM, while the core value will correct from 6.8% to 6.7% YoY and from 1.3% to 0.6% MoM.
