Retail sales. Canada, 14:30 (GMT+2)

At 14:30 (GMT+2), April retail sales data will be released in Canada. The indicator captures the volume of all goods sold by retailers MoM based on a sample of retail stores of various types and sizes. It is an important indicator of consumer spending and has a significant impact on gross domestic product (GDP). It is expected that in April the indicator will correct from –1.4% to 0.2%, and the core value – from –0.3% to –0.8%. Implementation of the forecast may put pressure on the quotes of the Canadian currency.
