At 11:00 (GMT+2), June data on retail sales in the EU will be published. The indicator monthly captures the aggregate of all goods sold by retailers, based on samples of outlets of various types and sizes. It is an important consumer spending indicator that has a significant impact on the region’s gross domestic product. It is expected that the indicator will grow from 0.0% to 0.2% MoM and it will correct from –2.9% to –2.2% YoY, which may put pressure on the euro.
