At 12:00 (GMT+2), October data on the Consumer Confidence index in the Eurozone will be published. The indicator is calculated based on a survey of 2.3K households that evaluate the prospects for the economy. This is a leading indicator for consumer spending, its high values indicate consumer optimism, and vice versa. It is expected that in October the indicator will accelerate the negative dynamics from the current ˗17.8 points to ˗17.9 points, which, in turn, may put pressure on the position of the European currency.
