At 12:00 (GMT+2), September data on retail sales in the EU will be published. The indicator monthly records the totality of all goods sold by retailers, based on a sample of retail outlets of different types and sizes. It is an important indicator of consumer spending and has a significant impact on a region’s gross domestic product. It is expected that the indicator will slow down the negative dynamics from −1.2% to −0.2% MoM and it will be adjusted from −2.1% to −3.1% YoY, putting pressure on the euro.
