The December household confidence index will be published in Japan at 07:00 (GMT+2). The indicator, which is calculated by evaluating a survey of about 5.0 thousand respondents, predicts consumer spending, which is part of economic activity in the reporting month. The index is expected to rise from 36.1 points to 36.6 points in December, supporting the exchange rate of the Japanese national currency.
