Initial jobless claims. USA, 15:30 (GMT+2)

At 15:30 (GMT+2), the US will present data on the number of initial unemployment claims. The indicator measures the number of people who applied for the first time during the past week. Statistics are collected by the national Ministry of Labor and published in a weekly report. The number of benefit claims is used to measure the health of the employment sector, as an increase in the number means that fewer people are hired. A correction from 202.0K to 207.0K is expected.

At 17:30 (GMT+2), the US Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) will present a weekly report containing data on changes in the volumes of crude oil, as well as gasoline and distillates in the country. A correction is expected from the current 1.338M barrels to −0.675M barrels, supporting oil quotes.
