
February data on the euro area's Consumer Price Index are due at 12:00 (GMT+2). It is the main indicator of inflation in the region and determines the change in the level of retail prices for a particular basket of goods and services: food, transportation, utilities, healthcare, etc. It has a significant influence on the decisions of regulators in the field of monetary policy. On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index is expected to adjust from -0.4% to 0.6% and on an annualized basis from 2.8% to 2.6%, while the core monthly reading is likely to rise from - 0.9% to 0.7%, and the annual rate will decrease from 3.3% to 3.1%.
