At 08:00 (GMT+2), March data on the consumer price index in Germany will be published – a key indicator of inflation in the country, which reflects changes in retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services: food, transport, utility costs, healthcare, and so on, and has a significant impact on the decisions of regulators in the field of monetary policy. It is expected to remain at 0.4% MoM and to fall from 2.5% to 2.2% YoY, while the harmonized monthly rate may remain at 0.6% MoM and adjust from 2.7% to 2.3% YoY.
