At 03:30 (GMT+2), the Q1 consumer price index in New Zealand will be published – the main indicator of inflation in the country, reflecting changes in retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services: food, transport, utility costs, healthcare, and so on. It affects the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s monetary policy decisions. The figure may rise from 0.6% to 0.8% QoQ and fall from 4.1% to 3.4% YoY.
