
At 14:00 (GMT+2), May data on the consumer price index in Germany is due – a key indicator of inflation in the country, which reflects changes in retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services: food, transport, utility costs, healthcare and so on, and has a significant impact on the decisions of regulators in the field of monetary policy. The rate may adjust from 0.5% to 0.2% MoM and from 2.2% to 2.3% YoY, while the harmonized rate may fall from 0.6% to 0.3% MoM and increase from 2.4% to 2.8% YoY.
