At 14:30 (GMT+2), the US will publish July data on the consumer price index. It is the main indicator of the inflation rate in the country, which reflects the change in retail prices for a certain basket of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, health care, and so on. It has a significant impact on the decisions of the country’s financial regulator on monetary policy. It may change from –0.1% to 0.2% MoM and stay at 3.0% YoY, while the core value may grow from 0.1% to 0.2% MoM and fall from 3.3% to 3.2% YoY.
