At 09:00 (GMT+2) in the UK, the December house price index from one of the country's largest mortgage lenders, Halifax Bank plc, will be published. The indicator is calculated based on a sample of mortgage loan data covering about 15.0 thousand monthly purchases of residential real estate, allowing to analyze the strength of the market and the economy as a whole. It is likely to decline from 1.3% to 0.8% MoM, putting pressure on the pound's position.
