Data on Construction PMI for January will be published in the UK at 11:30 (GMT+2). The indicator reflects the state of business sentiment of the construction market and is calculated on the basis of a survey of managers of the largest construction companies. It is expected to rise from 53.3 points to 53.7 points.

At 08:45 (GMT+2), Switzerland will publish January data on the unemployment rate, an indicator that records the percentage of unemployed people over 18 years of age in relation to the total working-age population. Only registered unemployed citizens are counted. It is the primary indicator of consumer spending, which influences the GDP. On a monthly basis, the figure is likely to decline from 0.1% to –0.1%, putting pressure on the euro exchange rate.
