At 09:00 (GMT+2), the January house price index from one of the country's largest mortgage lenders, Halifax Bank plc, will be published in the UK. The indicator is calculated based on a sample of mortgage loan data covering about 15.0 thousand monthly purchases of residential real estate, allowing to analyze the strength of the market and the economy as a whole. If it drops from −0.2% MoM and from 3.3% YoY, this will put pressure on the pound's position.
