At 12:00 (GMT+2), the January data on the consumer price index of the EU countries is due – a key indicator of the inflation rate, determining the change in retail prices for a certain basket of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, healthcare, etc. If it rises from 0.4% MoM, from 2.5% YoY, and the core monthly value from –0.1% and the year’s value from 2.7%, it may significantly affect the European Central Bank’s (ECB) monetary policy decision.
