At 08:00 (GMT+2), the UK will publish June data on the consumer price index, a key indicator of inflation that determines the change in retail prices for a certain basket of goods and services (food, transport, utilities, healthcare, etc.). If the consumer price index falls from 3.4% YoY and 0.2% MoM, and from 4.1% YoY and 0.2% MoM on a core basis, this will have a significant impact on the Bank of England’s monetary policy decisions.
