The indicator records the volume of all goods retailers sold, based on samples of stores of different types and sizes, and is an important indicator of consumer spending, which has a significant impact on gross domestic product (GDP). It may change from 0.5% to 0.2% MoM and from 0.3% to 0.4% on a core basis, putting pressure on the US dollar.
