At 14:30 (GMT+2), Canada will release July retail sales data, which reflects the volume of all goods retailers sold based on a sample of retail stores of various types and sizes. This indicator is a key indicator of consumer spending and has a significant impact on gross domestic product (GDP). A correction is forecast from 1.5% to –0.6% MoM and from 1.9% to 0.3% on a core basis, putting pressure on the Canadian dollar.
