Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index. USA, 14:30 (GMT+2)

At 14:30 (GMT+2), the US will release August data on the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index. It is one of the most important indicators monitored by the US Federal Reserve and influencing monetary policy in the country. It records the change in the value of total consumer spending. The year-on-year figure is expected to increase from 2.6% to 2.8%, while the Core rate is expected to increase from 2.9% to 3.0%. The implementation of the forecast will reduce the likelihood of a further interest rate cut by the regulator, which could strengthen the position of the national currency.
