The indicator captures changes in the level of consumer optimism regarding the current economic situation and is calculated based on a survey of 23.0 thousand households, which were asked questions about the current economic and financial situation, their intention to save, and the expected level of consumer prices. The reading is expected to rise from –15.5 points to –15.9 points, but will remain negative, so the euro could come under pressure.
