At 01:50 (GMT+2), Tankan will release its sentiment index for large manufacturers and non-manufacturing companies in Japan for the third quarter, which is published quarterly by the national Department of Research and Statistics and based on a survey of managers of large manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies. The survey assesses economic parameters such as business conditions, supply and demand, production and sales, price levels, income, employment, investment, and tax conditions. The sentiment index for large manufacturers is likely to rise from 13.0 points to 14.0 points, while that for non-manufacturing companies is likely to be revised from 34.0 points to 33.0 points, putting pressure on the yen.
