At 01:50 (GMT+2), Japan will release retail sales data for September, which records the monthly volume of all goods sold by retailers based on a sample of stores of different types and sizes. It is the primary indicator of consumer spending, which influences the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The year-on-year reading is expected to rise 0.6% from –0.9% the previous month. If the forecast proves to be true, this may render support to the yen.
