At 16:00 (GMT+2), the April data on the eurozone consumer confidence index will be published. The index is calculated based on a survey of 2.3K households assessing the economic outlook. It is a leading indicator for consumer spending, with high values indicating consumer optimism and vice versa. The indicator is likely to adjust from −16.3 points to −17.0 points, putting pressure on the position of the single European currency.
