At 01:50 (GMT+2), the Tankan large non-manufacturers index for Q2 will be released. The indicator is published quarterly by the national Department of Research and Statistics and is calculated based on a survey of managers of large companies in the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors. The survey assesses such economic parameters as business conditions, supply and demand, production and sales, price levels, income, employment, investment, tax conditions. The sentiment index for large manufacturers is expected to decline from 17.0 points to 16.0 points, while the non-manufacturing sector is projected to remain around 36.0 points, exerting downward pressure on the yen.
