Consumer price index. EU, 11:00 (GMT+2)

At 11:00 (GMT+2), April data on the consumer price index in the euro area will be released. It is the main indicator of inflation in the region and determines the change in retail prices for a certain “basket” of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, and healthcare, having a significant impact on the decisions of the authorities on monetary policy. The consumer price index is expected to correct from 6.9% to 7.0% YoY, and it will remain at 0.9% MoM, while the core value will decrease from 1.3% to 1.1% MoM and remain at 5.7% YoY.
