At 11:00 (GMT+2), July data on retail sales in the EU will be published. The indicator monthly captures the aggregate of all goods sold by retailers, based on a sample of outlets of various types and sizes. It is an important consumer spending indicator that has a significant impact on the region’s gross domestic product. It is expected that the indicator will slow down the negative dynamics from –0.3% to –0.2% MoM and from –1.4% to –1.2% YoY, which, in turn, may still have pressure on the euro.
