At 01:30 (GMT+2), August data on household spending will be published in Japan. The indicator records the monthly change in household spending adjusted for inflation and is an important indicator of economic growth. It is expected that the index will correct from –5.0% to –4.3% YoY and from –2.7% to 0.9% YoY, supporting the yen.
