At 08:00 (GMT+2), September data on retail sales will be published in the UK. Retail Sales indicator measures the change in the total value of inflation-adjusted sales at the retail level, excluding automobiles and gas stations. It is the primary indicator of consumer spending, which influences the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). On a monthly basis, the figure is expected to contract by 0.2%, after rising by 0.5% in the previous month, and on an annual basis, it is expected to slow from 0.7% to 0.5%. The implementation of the forecast could put pressure on the pound.
