At 09:30 (GMT+2), Switzerland will release retail sales data for September, which records the monthly volume of all goods sold by retailers based on a sample of stores of different types and sizes. It is the primary indicator of consumer spending, which influences the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The year-on-year reading is expected to increase by 0.2%, following a –0.2% reading the previous month. If the forecast proves to be true, this may render support to the Swiss currency.
