Consumer Price Index. EU, 12:00 (GMT+2)

At 12:00 (GMT+2), preliminary data on the consumer price index in the eurozone for October will be published. It is the main indicator of the level of inflation in the region and determines changes in retail prices for a certain basket of goods and services (food, transport, utility costs, healthcare, etc.), and also has a significant impact on decisions on monetary policy. It is expected that the Consumer Price Index on a monthly basis will increase from 0.1% to 0.2%, and on an annualized basis it may decrease from 2.2% to 2.1%. Overall, inflation pressures are likely to remain close to the 2.0% target, reducing the likelihood of a new borrowing cost adjustment by the European Central Bank (ECB).
