Decentraland developed and launched a virtual reality game platform based on the Ethereum blockchain. The application allows you to create applications and content. You can use it in a game reality and monetize it.
Two digital assets were created for the game:
- The MANA is an ERC-20 Ethereum platform-based token. It’s burned for acquiring LAND tokens.
- The LAND is a non-fungible token used to represent ownership of virtual land on the network.
Platform users in the Metaverse can take the following actions: buy and build land; develop software; go to shops, museums; and have fun with friends. You can monetize everything in the game. In the virtual world, you can open a business, create paintings, music, and shoot films. The project allows for the creation of objects that exist in ordinary life. To buy and sell them, you need a currency — in this case, it’s MANA.
In addition, token owners participate in the management and development of the project. They vote on the content of the updates, the results of land auctions and control the further development of virtual reality.
Since the coins were fully emitted prior to the ICO, this project does not include mining. So there are the following ways to make tokens:
- Sale of land parcels or virtual reality artifacts;
- Purchase on cryptocurrency exchanges;
- Gain income from a deposit with a small annual interest.
The US dollar is the currency of the United States of America. It is one of the world’s major reserve currencies, and it also has the status of a national currency in some other countries (e.g., El Salvador, the Marshall Islands, and Zimbabwe).
